Alexis and Andrew's Capitol Hill Engagement Session - Part One!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today I'm blogging on the Alexis and Andrew, a wonderful couple I met thanks to a local DC blog, United with Love. Alexis and Andrew's recent engagement session was so jam-packed with awesomeness that I had to make it into two posts! Eeek! Get excited!First up are the photos we took at the Capitol in DC. Alexis worked on Capitol Hill for 4 years, and she knew she wanted some photos there as it's incredibly significant to her. We arrived there at a great time of day, as the tours were going on, but not in full force! We had a lot of open space to utilize without too many people getting in the way, and it was so much fun! I absolutely loved that it was a gorgeous day, as the bright blue sky just made Alexis' fuschia colored dress pop. I felt it was a huge injustice to make any of these photos black and white...the colors were just phenomenal!

Our trip around the Capitol was not only fun because we were taking photos, but also informative because Alexis and Andrew knew so much! I particularly loved The Summer House, or Capitol Grotto that they took us to, as it was this lovely little area just outside of the Capitol that I never knew existed! When Alexis worked at the Capitol, it was where she would head for lunch on some days, which I thought was just lovely. You've gotta love these hidden jems!

I'm pretty much convinced that Alexis is going to be President some day, so we did take some photos of her in front of the Capitol on her own when Andrew was getting the car. He he he! All in all, it was such a fun time and I'm so glad I got to hang out with Alexis and Andrew for this part of the session.
